Gear Review – REI Revelcloud Vest
I got a new vest back in October and I’ve waited until now to review it once it got cold enough to actually use. I apologize about the quality of the video. My camera is old and prone to issues and I spend most of the video squinting. I guess it was brighter than I thought.
Like I said in the video, most UL Backpackers shy away from the REI stuff but this vest really is almost just like the Mont Bell Thermawrap and I got it much cheaper than I could have gotten anything else.
The Specs on the vest are:
- Pertex® Quantum 70% recycled shell fabric
- PrimaLoft® Eco synthetic microfiber insulation %50 recycled
- Side panels made from Polartec® Wind Pro® hardface fleece, panels are wind resistant to 9 mph
- Revelcloud resists winds up to 50 mph
- 7.5 ounces
