April Fool’s is not Funny!

I am taking a small break from my frenzy of gear reviews to post this PSA.  It has come to my attention that several of my fellow bloggers think that giving people heart attacks is funny.  Hendrik from Hiking in Finland and Brian from Brian’s Backpacking Blog and Phillip from Section Hiker thought they’d be funny and post some not so funny announcements today.  Well boys, I’m here to tell you it’s not funny.  It’s cruel and mean!  People like you should know better than to go around scaring innocent folk like myself!

…April Fool’s!!

Those were some top notch jokes you guys pulled off.  My hats are off to you, gentlemen.  It’s been a good long time since someone has gotten me that good!

Since so many of my fellow bloggers are doing April Fool’s Jokes I thought it’d be a great time to announce my April 1st Not Joke.  Richard and I have officially decided to move to Germany!  No joke here.  We don’t know how or when or even where exactly yet, we really just made the decision a week ago.  We are planning on working with the Christian Church there and Richard is going to finally get a chance to use his Bible and Theology degree!  I am personally excited to meet all the new friends I know we will get to meet and find new and interesting places to don my pack and explore.  I will be starting up a blog chronicling our journey getting to and living in Germany, Reimagining Reality.

  1. Danke, und viel Spass in Deutschland! Wisst Ihr schon wo Ihr hinziehen werdet?

  2. Brian really got be going on that post. I actually believed he was moving to Finland.

  3. Hi Joslyn, I’m returning blog visit and have been reading through your posts. Even though it’s May 6, I have to agree with you about April Fool’s “jokes.” Trying to get one over on someone else is not my idea of humor.
