Upcoming Trip and Gear Reviews

Ok so this month has been a really bust month for me. I got a second job teaching archery with one of our local Junior Olympic Archery Development programs (JOAD) and it requires me to work all day on Saturdays and I’m still working Monday through Friday too so I’ve been lax on posting, but I’m really excited for my trip coming up this weekend that I was lucky enough to get off for.

I will be hiking the AT from Fontana Dam to the NOC on a group trip with Stick, Brian, Gizmo Joe and a few others.ย  I’m going to try to get in a post about what I will be taking and my planned food but I’ve still got to work three days this week too and finalize everything.

That’s all for now!!

About Joslyn

My name is Joslyn and I primarily hike with my husband Richard. We live in Northern Arizona with our dog, Jรคger and love camping and hiking. We are continuing our adventure in backpacking inn this our second year and as always, striving towards going Ultra Light.

  1. Looking forward to your next posts! That should be a lot of fun to do a trip like that with fellow bloggers.

  2. Its gonna be great to finally meet you Joslyn and the others too. I’ve been kinda busy too at my end so this is gonna be a pack on Thursday night and “wing it” kinda hike for me, should make it interesting ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Teaching archery…that is cool, and no, I am not very good at it… ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, glad that you are able to be off and can make the trip with us. I am looking forward to meeting you and Brian as well. And the same as Brian, I am packing pretty last minute…my bivy should arrive about an hour before I leave my house and head to Joe’s Thursday…so there is a good chance the first time I even set it up is on the trail…in the rain… ๐Ÿ™‚ Ya’ll have to promise not to laugh at me too much though… ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, have a great rest of the week and I will see ya’ll soon…

    • Just as long as we can take photos of you while we’re “not laughing” – it’s gonna be epic!

  4. Yeah I’m not promising a thing, but I will have my camera out just in case something funny should arise!

I am really looking forward to meeting everyone too!! I can’t decide on a lot of my gear so I may be just throwing a bunch of it in the trunk and figuring it out the night before.
