Wilderness Logic Tadpole Tarp
Several weeks ago I got the last in a long line of recent purchases in the mail, a Wilderness Logics Tadpole Tarp!!! With this final addition of a tarp I am finally a fully outfitted hammock backpacker! With the addition of my Zpacks 1.25mm Z-line spectra cord it weighs 11.2 oz. Pretty light for a 1.2 Silnylon, 132″ x 92″ Hexagon Tarp.
The first thing that I thought when I opened it was just how small it was compared to my 2 man tent and even
my winter bivy! When packed up in its stuff sack it’s a bit smaller than my REI Minimalist Bivy but still is plenty big for a solid amount of coverage throughout the three big seasons. At some point I’m hoping to make some DIY Cuben Fiber Grizz Beaks for use with this and any other tarps I buy! The next thing I saw was the stitching. I couldn’t have sewn it better myself, the quality is impeccable. The tie outs even when pulled taught do not show any stress in the areas you’d expect.
Hi Joslyn. Just done a deep dive to search for the Tadpole tarp. I don’t think Wilderness Logics is in business anymore.
